UConn is 1-7 this season, though they’re better than their record indicates.

Four of the Huskies’ seven losses this season have come by 7 points or less. They play hard, they just haven’t been able to close out games.

Still, this is a game that Tennessee’s expected to win in blowout fashion.

Despite the long odds against them, UConn is still going to do everything they can in preparation in the hopes of stealing a win from the Vols.

That includes trying to get some advice from a coach that’s already lost to Tennessee this season.

UConn head coach Jim Mora told WNML’s Vince Ferrara on Thursday that the Huskies reached out to Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops for some advice about playing the Vols after the Wildcats’ 33-27 loss to Tennessee last Saturday.

Thursday. “Well, we see that on film, you know. To see it in person will be interesting.”

I’m sure Stoops shared more information than that with UConn, but it’s not like Mora was going to reveal that during a radio interview.
