Breaking: Dallas Mavericks Star Luka Doncic Receives Hardest Workout Yet?

NBA players work extremely hard during the offseason, lifting weights and doing cardio in preparation for the new season.

When it comes to Luka Doncic, he may have just gotten his hardest summer workout yet ahead of Dallas Mavericks training camp. During the Jordan Brand “China Family Tour” over the weekend, Doncic, along with fellow Jordan athletes Zion Williamson, Jayson Tatum, and Paolo Banchero, visited the Great Wall of China, which spans more than 13,000 miles through the Jundu Mountains. Talk about some intense cardio with major incline. In all seriousness, though, Doncic appears to be in excellent shape ahead of training camp, despite what some couch potato experts on social media might think. Coming off a loss to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, Doncic should be more motivated than ever to get over the hump and win a championship this coming season. Despite having a season that resulted in him finishing in third place in MVP voting while nearly averaging a 30-point triple-double, Doncic faced injury issues throughout the postseason, and it finally caught up to him in the Finals when Boston exploited Dallas’ lack of offensive depth around No. 77 and Kyrie Irving. After adding Klay Thompson and a handful of other key offensive upgrades to the roster this summer, Doncic and the Mavs now have the potential to be unstoppable.

Last season, the Mavs started the year off in Abu Dhabi for preseason play, which provided the initial fuel for what became the franchise’s most memorable run since 2011. We’ll see if Doncic’s visit to The Great Wall of China can produce similar results.

Mavericks’ Klay Thompson on Joining Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving: ‘We Can Win A Championship’

During the Hometown Favorites weekend, Dallas Mavericks’ Klay Thompson answered questions about his fit alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

At 34 years old, Klay Thompson might not be the same level star he was in his prime years with the Golden State Warriors, but he’s still an exceptional 3-point marksman who knows how to be a supplemental piece for a championship contender.

During an appearance at the Hometown Favorites weekend, the new Dallas Mavericks star answered questions about his fit alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, and his team’s chances of winning a championship this coming season.

“Me playing with Luka and Kyrie: that’s what was attractive (in free agency). Especially watching that championship series, I was really shocked to see the chemistry with the (Mavs) teammates,” Thompson said.

“And at this point in my career, I might not be able to run as fast as everyone or jump as high, but I can still knock down open shots.”
