It wasn’t just Caitlin Clark who stole the show on Sunday, September 1, as the Indiana Fever took down the Dallas Wings, 100-93, to mark their fourth consecutive victory. All-Star guard Kelsey Mitchell caught fire in this one as well, exploding for 36 points on 12-of-22 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, three assists and five triples. Clark wasn’t bad herself either, going off for 28 points, four boards, 12 dimes and five triples. Combined, Mitchell and Clark scored 64 points on 53.7 percent shooting. They also went 10-of-18 from beyond the arc to lead Indiana to its sixth win in seven games played since the month-long Olympic break. It wasn’t until after the victory, however, that Mitchell was able to fully appreciate just how outstanding her partnership with Clark was on the evening. Upon learning about their eye-popping numbers, Mitchell was left in disbelief, uttering just one word to perfectly express her reaction to her incredible feat with Clark. “Wow,” Mitchell stated.
