Good News: Daniel Farke says ‘electric’ Leeds player will miss Hull City clash…

Amid all the chaos of the last two days of the transfer window, Daniel Farke has shared a new Leeds United injury update.

Farke was speaking ahead of his side’s home match with Hull City on Saturday in which a few fresh faces could be in the squad.

Despite winning 2-0 at Sheffield Wednesday last Friday, Leeds looked extremely light in terms of depth as Farke was forced to name two goalkeepers, and three youngsters who are still yet to debut on the bench.

Max Wober and Patrick Bamford were Leeds’ only two injury absentees at Hillsborough and so it was pretty telling just how weak the bench was even with the majority of the squad fit.

However, Leeds will have both Largie Ramazani and Manor Solonon available for the first time on Saturday, with Ao Tanaka’s move from Fortuna Dusseldorf also looking like it could be wrapped up in time.

Farke shares new Dan James injury update

Leeds produced their best performance of the season by some distance at Sheffield Wednesday, and so had everyone been fit, it is unlikely Farke would’ve made any changes. Unfortunately, that is not the case.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Farke did not give any update on Wober’s condition, which would suggest he is available again, providing he is not sold to Borussia Monchengladbach.

However, Bamford will be missing for the second consecutive match due to the hamstring injury he sustained in the days leading up to last Friday’s win.

And unfortunately after netting his first goal of the season, Dan James will also miss the match due to the same issue as Bamford.

He said: “Bamford will miss this game. We are sadly also without Daniel James, minor hamstring problem. He will not travel to join the Wales squad. Hope to have him back for Burnley.

“A few question marks in offensive positions. How much Largie and Manor are involved, we will see. Definitely good that they are there. Largie has the advantage he has played this season, Manor was involved in four friendlies for Tottenham – in terms of fitness.”

Who will replace Dan James?

The ‘electric‘ James will be a big miss against Hull City after his performance last time out, but thankfully Farke has options to replace him.

All of Ramazani, Solomon and Wilfried Gnonto prefer playing off the left but after the latter’s ‘unbelievable’ performance last weekend, his spot is set in stone.

However, one of Ramazani or Solomon are going to have to be thrown into the starting XI straight away if James’ pace is to be replaced.

Considering he has already played a league match for Almeria this season, Ramazani feels the most likely candidate.
