Steph Curry had a mature outlook on the GOAT debate after being compared to Michael Jordan.

Steph Curry has already made his feelings clear on whether Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time.
Chicago Bulls legend Jordan is widely seen as the best ever to grace a court, winning six NBA titles – three either side of a brief switch to baseball.
Yet there are arguments to be made for other players, including the likes of Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and Curry himself given his incredible achievements with the Golden State Warriors – and his recent match-winning display for the USA to beat France and clinch Olympic gold.
The GOAT is a never-ending one but Curry feels as though it is unfair to compare players in multiple eras.
“I ascribe to the mindset that there are multiple GOATs,” Curry said in an interview with Willie Geist on Sunday TODAY in 2023.
“And I hate that, it’s not a cop-out answer, but it’s so hard to compare eras.
“And getting into that conversation of ‘oh if you put Michael in this era or if you put LeBron in that era,’ it’s kind of unfair. It’s a great barbershop debate, and it’s something that’ll never stop until the end of time.”
Curry’s coach Steve Kerr, who played for His Airness in his pomp, compared Curry to Jordan when he said he is a “modern” version of MJ.
Kerr said Curry “transcends the game” and “elicits an emotion”, though in response the 36-year-old said, “I’ll leave it to him to make that comparison”.
Interestingly, Jordan has gone on record to say Curry is not a Hall of Famer telling Complex: “He’s still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet though.”
The 61-year-old also snubbed Curry when it comes selecting the best point guard of all time, opting for Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson.
“Although greatest of anything is always a debate, I beg to differ on greatest point guard of all-time,” Jordan told Stephen A. Smith.
“Magic Johnson is easily the best point guard of all time. Steph Curry is very close, but not in front of Magic.”

The Ohio-born superstar is often regarded as the NBA’s greatest-ever shooter and was named NBA Most Valuable Player on two occasions.
