The Tigers are hoping to complete another key part of their summer transfer jigsaw
Hull City are closing in on a deal to sign goalkeeper Anthony Racioppi from Swiss club Young Boys as the club looks to tick off another key area of summer recruitment for boss Tim Walter.
The 25-year-old, who has joint French and Swiss citizenship, is set to make a permanent move to the MKM Stadium and provide competition for Croatian youngster Ivor Pandur, Hull Live understands after both clubs agreed a deal.
Throughout pre-season, City have been able to call upon Ivor Pandur and Under-21 stopper Owen Foster after Thimothee Lo-Tutala and Harvey Cartwright picked up injuries.
Cartwright is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after flying home from the club’s pre-season training camp in Istanbul to undergo hand surgery, and though Lo-Tutala is back in training, Foster was named on the bench in the final friendly of the summer at Reading on Saturday.
Pandur, who arrived in January from Fortuna Sittard, is yet to play a game in the Championship but will make his league debut on Saturday when the Championship season kicks off at home to Bristol City.
