Hull City- bidding war with Middlesbrough for ‘hungry’ striker, they are closing in on double deal

Hull City are closing in on an exciting double deal for two young stars if they can beat Middlesbrough in a bidding war.

It has been a busy transfer window for the Tigers so far, with Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene leaving in big-money deals

Hull City are now looking to reinvest some of that cash and they are closing in on a double deal. HITC can confirm that they have lodged a bid for Bristol City striker Tommy Conway.

The 22-year-old forward scored 12 goals in all competitions for The Robins last season.

Middlesbrough have already put a deal on the table worth around £5million for Conway, and it is understood that Hull have now begun a bidding war having made an offer of a similar amount.

Burnley have also held talks over Conway but the Clarets have offered a player-plus-cash deal that includes Scott Twine.

Hull are eager to win the race for Conway, who was branded “hungry for success” by former manager Nigel Pearson.

But they have not put all their eggs in one basket, with Hull also closing in on a loan deal for Manchester City product Finley Burns.

The 21-year-old defender impressed while on loan at Stevenage last season and is now set to join the Tigers for another loan stint.

Burns is set to join Cody Drameh and Ryan Giles as new defensive signings at Hull this summer.

HITC also understands that Hull are in talks to land wingers Liam Millar, from Basel, and Kasey McAteer from Leicester City.
