Peak Suspension Reveals- GMC Canyon AT4X 2024 Ultimate Overland Build

The GMC Canyon AT4X is a highly capable machine right out of the box, but with the right parts, this rig’s off-road chops can be elevated to a whole new level. That’s exactly what Peak Suspension did with its latest 2024 Ultimate Overland Build. Created in collaboration with Overland Expo, the GMC Canyon AT4X 2024 Ultimate Overland Build adds more cargo capacity, more flexibility, and other goodies to boost this mid-size truck’s off-road prowess even further.

Based on the 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X, this rig is powered by the Canyon AT4X’s Turbo High-Output 2.7L I4 L3B engine, rated at 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The factory suspension, featuring Multimatic DSSV dampers, was kept in place, with Peak Suspension adding a two-piece front spacer kit, tie rod reinforcement sleeves, and a rear add-a-leaf and block kit to maximize clearance and handling over rugged terrain. Paired with Canyon AT4X AEV Edition fender flares, 35-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires, and 17 by 8.5 Torque wheels, the truck stands ready for challenging trails

A 589 Fabrication Mini-Fighter front bumper was fitted for a fortified front end, offering skid plate protection and space for Vision X CG2 lights and a ComeUp Winch. The OEM AEV rear bumper offers durable, chassis-mounted recovery points, while the AEV snorkel ensures clean airflow for the engine. Further, Magnaflow’s Overland Series exhaust delivers better performance and a distinct exhaust note.

Storage and utility improvements are abundant. The Leitner bed rack secures an Alu-Cab rooftop tent, Shadow Awn 270, and Shower Cube. Inside, a Decked storage system neatly organizes gear, while a RiGd Ultra-Swing tire carrier holds the 35-inch spare tire. For charging and power, the build includes a Redarc 200W solar panel, Manager 100, and Battle Born AGM battery, keeping equipment ready and the Project X fridge cool. The Blackstone grill and Jetboil cooking system ensure hearty meals on the go.

Additional tech like the Midland Radio MXT575, Gain Ghost Antenna, and ZOLEO Satellite Communicator provides robust communication. Meanwhile, the OEM Off-Road Performance Display with Terrain, Overlanding, and Baja modes keeps the driver informed of the terrain and vehicle metrics.
