COTTONDALE, Ala. (WBRC) – Former Alabama Crimson Tide WR/KR Christion Jones was announced as the new head football coach of Paul W. Bryant Friday morning, the school announced

Jones played for Minor High School before committing to the Crimson Tide and playing under Nick Saban from 2011-2014.

 

While with the Tide, he helped guide the team to back-to-back BCS national championships in 2012 and 2013, and was also named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year and First-team All-SEC in 2013. During his time in Tuscaloosa, Jones hauled in 85 receptions for 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns. He also returned three punts and two kickoffs for touchdowns while playing for the Tide.

 

Jones spent time with the Miami Dolphins in 2015 and 2016 before playing in the Canadian Football League from 2016-2019.
