Heartbreaking: Tottenham Key player #Son Heung-min is Gone..

According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur and Son Heung-min are getting closer to signing a new contract. As per Graeme Bailey’s report on TBR Football, Son Heung-min is on the verge of finalising a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur. The 31-year-old’s current contract expires in the summer of 2019, therefore the North London giants are eager to sign him to new terms.

The 31-year-old has turned out more than 400 times thus far for Tottenham, chipping in with 161 goals and 83 assists. Meanwhile, Son became the North London club’s captain ahead of the 2023/24 season after Ange Postecoglou decided to sanction Hugo Lloris’s departure, especially with Harry Kane joining Bayern Munich.

Son has embraced the additional responsibility with aplomb, rediscovering his best form thus far this season. The experienced attacker is one of the most productive players in the Premier League this term, amassing 16 goals and nine assists in 31 top-flight outings. However, his future has been the subject of speculation in the last few months.

Reports in the last 12 months have linked Son Heung-min with Real Madrid and the Saudi Pro League. However, he remains the most important player for Ange Postecoglou, meaning Tottenham will not listen to offers for the veteran forward anytime soon. In addition, they want to tie him to a new contract.
