Zach Edey To Miss The Most Highly Anticipated NBA Summer Legue Match…

Memphis Grizzlies |

The Grizzlies will be one of the most highly anticipated teams to watch in NBA Summer League, largely due to Zach Edey and the polarizing prospect he is. Salt Lake City will be the first opportunity for him to wear a Memphis uniform and show what he can do in an NBA setting. He’ll be joined by incoming rookies Jaylen Wells and Cam Spencer, along with more proven players like GG Jackson and Jake LaRavia who are both expected to be among the best talents at this event

The Thunder’s summer league roster includes 18 players, including two of Oklahoma City’s newest rookies in Dillon Jones (No. 26 overall) and Ajayi Mitchell (No. 38 overall). Keep in mind that No. 12 overall selection Nikola Topic has a partially torn ACL and will miss all of the upcoming season following surgery, so he won’t be participating in NBA Summer League.

Key Players
Ousmane Dieng

Dieng is expected to be the headliner of this Thunder roster as he enters his third NBA season, making him the most experienced player on the summer league squad, but also the youngest at 21 years old.

Dillon Jones

The only first-round pick for OKC in the 2024 NBA Draft who will take the floor in Salt Lake City will be Jones, who brings an extremely versatile skillset and will look to start proving he has what it takes to carve out a role in the Thunder rotation as a rookie.

Ajay Mitchell

An early second-round pick in last month’s draft, Mitchell will be on a two-way contract for the upcoming season but has tremendous offensive talent and a real chance to be converted to a full-time deal during the 2024-25 campaign.

Keyontae Johnson

Coming off of a very impressive season that was primarily spent in the G League, Johnson is looking to prove he’s worthy of a spot on a team’s 15-man roster during NBA Summer League.

Adam Flagler

Entering the second season of his two-way contract with the Thunder, Flagler brings poise and composure to the floor as a lead guard.

Alex Ducas

A sharpshooter with good positional size, Ducas is reportedly on a two-way contract in OKC for the upcoming season and will make his Thunder debut this week.

Malevy Leons

After going undrafted last month, there’s no question Leons has the size and tools to ultimately land on an NBA roster at some point in the future.

Jaykwon Walton

With an NBA-ready frame and high upside on the perimeter, Walton has a chance to shine at NBA Summer League if he’s able to earn the opportunity to play with the ball in his hands.

Jack Golhke

Known for his historic performance in the recent NCAA,
