Breaking : Hull City Taking A Closer Look At Liverpool Starlet As Tigers Eye Deal…

Hull City are eyeing a deal to sign Liverpool youngster Zac Jagielka as the Tigers look to continue their blossoming relationship with the Premier League giants.

Hull Live understands the teenager is on trial with the Tigers academy at Bishop Burton over a potential move from Anfield this summer with the Wales Under-17 striker hoping to secure a long-term deal with the East Yorkshire club.

Son of former Everton defender Phil, Zac joined the Reds at the age of 13 and has impressed throughout the youth ranks with the Merseyside club, but will hope to do enough to strike a deal with the Tigers.

City’s relationship with Liverpool has continued to bear fruit for the Tigers following the successful loan spells of Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho last term, and the club remain hopeful of striking a deal to bring 19-year-old midfielder James McConnell to the MKM Stadium this summer.

Meanwhile, the Tigers have confirmed three second-year scholars have all agreed deals which will see them progress into Conor Sellars’ Under-21 setup ahead of the new season.

Jaedyn Chibanga, Paul Iggulden and George Wilson have all penned their first professional deals with the Tigers having successfully completed their two-year scholarships.

Doncaster-born forward Chibanga has been with City since joining the Under-13s and has been a regular feature out on the flank during his period playing with the Under-18s, and notched 10 outings for Sellars’ Under-21s with his solitary goal coming in the 4-3 win over Peterborough United.

Central defender Iggulden, who was born across the county in York, has been with City since joining the Under-12s captaining Chad Gribble’s side on occasions, and played for the Under-21s in March against Birmingham City.

Hull-born goalkeeper Wilson has been a regular for the Under-18s and caught the eye in the FA Youth Cup for the Tigers last term, having been at the club since arriving to play with the Under-9s.

City have signed former Bradford City defender Noah Wadsworth on a one-year deal after the 19-year-old impressed on trial, playing in the Tigers’ final game of the season at Cardiff.

“I am thrilled to welcome Noah to the club. During his trial, he impressed our staff, and we are excited to work closely with him moving forward,” Under-21 boss Conor Sellars said.

“We had to act quickly to secure Noah, knowing other clubs were interested due to his impressive history, including his appearances in a League Two first team last season, at such a young age. He brings undeniable quality to our team, being both-footed, highly versatile, and an excellent athlete.”
