Hull City man returns from loan spell away ahead of pre-season

Hull City defender Alfie Taylor has returned from his loan spell at St. Patrick’s Athletic, as announced by the club’s official academy X account.
Hull City have a decision to make on what to do next with the youngster this summer. They are due to return for pre-season soon as they prepare for another year in the Championship.

Taylor, 20, moved over to the League of Ireland in January to get some experience under his belt but didn’t manage to get many minutes in the end. He only went on to make three appearances in all competitions but scored once from the back.

In this latest update regarding his situation by the Tigers’ academy on social media, he is now back with the East Yorkshire outfit. He remains under contract at the MKM Stadium for next term along with fellow development players like Owen Foster, Tyrell Sellars-Fleming, Henry Sandat, Will Jarvis, Harry Wood, Jake Leake and Jevon Mills.

Taylor has risen up through the academy ranks at Hull City and has been a regular for them at various different youth levels over the years.

They have since replaced him with former Stuttgart and Hamburg boss Tim Walter and the German is yet to make a signing.

The Tigers have released Billy Sharp, Greg Docherty, Aaron Connolly and Adama Traore to free up space and funds in their ranks to bring in some new faces.
