NEWTON, Iowa — Martin Truex Jr., in evident Truex design, wouldn’t agree that what his dashing timetable would resemble after 2024 past that it wouldn’t be a full-time record.
The future for the 43-year-old Truex, a driver who every one of the beyond three years has weighed intensely regardless of whether to resign, is still somewhat cloudy. The fate of the Joe Gibbs Hustling No. 19 vehicle shows up significantly more clear.
As contenders commended the unassuming (in some measure more often than not) Truex for a 19-year full-time Cup vocation as a contender, JGR appears near landing Pursue Briscoe, who is losing his Stewart-Haas Hustling ride with the association stopping tasks after this season, as his substitution.
“I feel like I’m very close [to a 2025 deal],” Briscoe expressed Saturday at Iowa Speedway, a day after the Truex declaration, without determining a group. “I feel better about it. There’s various [factors in the decision]. Execution is one thing that most certainly [in] gauging the choices is something significant, the future and what’s in store resembles.

“And afterward clearly, the other part is, what will be awesome to accommodate my loved ones. With twins on the way, I will have three children. That is a genuine idea presently, exactly what will set us up for the future in the most effective way.”
Briscoe coming to JGR would give the group a fair driver setup of a veteran near the finish of his profession in Denny Hamlin (age 43, 54 Cup wins), two moderately youthful drivers with a solid Cup base in Christopher Chime (age 29, eight Cup wins) and Briscoe (age 29, one Cup win) and Ty Gibbs (age 21, second year in Cup).
“We’re actually chipping away at all of that,” group proprietor Joe Gibbs expressed similar to Truex’s substitution.
