Alabama football’s defensive line of the future got a boost Sunday, when 2025 recruit London Simmons announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide. Simmons, a three or four-star prospect on the national recruiting services, announced the move on social media Sunday, in conjunction with Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.

Simmons, who plays his high school football at Hartfield Academy in Mississippi, is a three-star recruit on 247Sports, and a four-star on On3 and Rivals. He chose the Tide over a group of suitors that included NC State and Mississippi State.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound Simmons had 15 sacks during his junior season. He made 80 total tackles, 25 of them for loss, and forced three fumbles.Simmons became Alabama’s 16th commitment in the class of 2025, a number that includes punter vAlex Asparuho. The class is ranked No. 3 nationally on the 247Sports composite.
