Breaking Heart News : Niners nation greatest captain announced for…….

June 7 was the same day as McCaffrey’s birthday. If you’ve been in there, the video looked like it took place in the 49ers Museum. Plus, a quick Google search that day told you that the museum was temporarily closed.

There were tints of orange in there, so some believed the cover could go to Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, but he was coming off an injury. When the voiceover says, “It’s in the game,” that sounded like McCaffrey. As did the two-second chuckle at the end. That reminded me of the game where every skill player but McCaffrey scored a touchdown, and CMC was at the podium afterward saying, “I suck,” but laughing about it.

49ers' Christian McCaffrey couldn't have picked a better time to be on the cover of Madden

Believe it or not, the Niners have a pretty decent chance to have a player as the cover athlete next year as well.

It makes a lot of sense for McCaffrey to be on the cover of the popular football video game. He was dominant on the field last season as he had over 20 touchdowns and over 2,000 yards from scrimmage. He was the AP’s Offensive Player of the Year and one could argue that he should have been the MVP of the entire league.

San Francisco has a few candidates for next year’s Madden cover as well. EA Sports likes to vary their cover athletes, so it would not be super likely that the 49ers would get one of their players on the cover in back-to-back years.
