Taking to the official Instagram account for the Prince and Princess of Wales, William shared a throwback photo with his father from when he was a child. The snap saw Charles standing in the garden in a grey suit as he sweetly played football with a young Prince William he looked just a few years old in dungaree shorts.
Charles looked down at the small football while William ran around smiling as he spent time with his father. William sweetly captioned the post: “Happy Father’s Day, Pa. W.
The tribute was flooded with comments from fans as one wrote: “This is too sweet! Happy Father’s Day to His Majesty, to HRH and to all loving, supporting and caring fathers out there.” A second said: “Happy Father’s Day William and Charles! Great example of family standing by each other and supporting each other!!! We in the States [red heart emoji] you!!”
“Aww thank you William for being supportive of your father. Being King is a mission given by god, and leaving it is just not an option for him or yourself, so it’s good to see unity between you both”, penned another. A fourth added: “What a beautiful shot.”
