And Messi himself has now clarified if Inter Miami will be the club he ends his career at.

Messi seemingly confirms he will end his career at Inter Miami
Speaking to ESPN, Messi revealed that he believes Inter Miami will be his last club, seemingly ending speculation that a shock return to Barcelona is on the cards, as well as joining boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys.
With Messi’s contract at Inter Miami expected to end in 2026, the next two years could be the last we see of the Argentine in club colors, with the upcoming World Cup potentially where the attacker could call time on his career.
Messi said: “It was a difficult step leaving Europe to come here [Miami]. The fact we won the World Cup helped, it helped a lot, to see things in another way. But I try not to think about it. I try to enjoy it. I do that more now because I’m aware that there’s not a lot of time left.
So I have a good time with the club, being lucky having good teammates and friends at my side. I enjoy my time with the national team, where I also have good friends, too, and a lot. I enjoy those small details that I know I’ll miss when I stop playing. As of today, I believe it will be my last club.”
Messi will want to leave behind a legacy for Inter Miami to build from
Messi joining Inter Miami has laid the groundwork for the Herons to create a lasting legacy in MLS and to raise the profile of soccer higher than any other organization in the United States.
And with the forward stating that Inter Miami will be his last club, Messi will want to leave behind a club that can be one of the biggest in the world and can attract superstars long before the Argentine has left.
Indeed, Inter Miami has all the tools needed to become one of the most lucrative and appealing clubs in soccer, and Messi doing everything he can to build up to this will be huge in the years to come,
