Quarterback Jalen Damages is planning for his fifth NFL season with the Philadelphia Falcons. However, the previous Alabama champion isn’t continuing into the 2024 mission with that mentality.

“Each group is unique,” Damages said, “and I have the methodology of dealing with each year like I’m a green bean, similar to I’m unfamiliar to it, similar to I’m a youngster, and being persevering and patient in all that I’m doing.

“I believe that expects you to become familiar with the people that you’re going out there to fight with – see what they’re great at, see what they’re not. Simply see where their head is no matter what and get to know them. That comprises of investing energy in the late spring, tossing, determining the status of people, simply constructing that compatibility.”

The “steady and-patient” approach has nearly been a prerequisite in Damages’ football process. In three seasons with the Red Tide, the QB played for three hostile facilitators. Subsequent to spending his last school season at Oklahoma, Damages is working with his fourth hostile organizer in the NFL.

Philadelphia got Kellen Moore to act as its hostile facilitator in 2024 after he stood firm on that foothold for the Dallas Ranchers from 2019 through 2022 and the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023.

Damages’ experience gives him certainty that he can explore one more change in playbooks.

“I’ve sort of needed to take this multitude of new things and new voices despite everything go out there and find success and proficient,” Damages said, “so I believe that is precisely exact thing will repeat.”

Harms said there’s been a long way to go this time around.

“I think this entire whole offseason has been tied in with learning,” Damages said, “learning and taking in the new information, the new viewpoint of the personalities that we have in the room.
