PlanetF1.com as of late uncovered that Sainz was, until further notice, no longer available for that 2025 Mercedes seat, with Wolff having told Sky Sports Deutschland that lesser driver Kimi Antonelli “is our future”, a message he has given to Sainz.
Wolff multiplied down on that position while addressing Sky F1, uncovering that the Mercedes group has an arrangement to “reevaluate ourselves a tad”, with Antonelli the driver that has an impact in that diagram.
“I consider first all, Carlos merits a top seat. Well, he’s worked effectively,” said Wolff.
