Liverpool is currently sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table, as Jürgen Klopp now searches for possible additions to his squad that could drive a push for silverware this season. As it stands, the Reds are fighting on all fronts.
Klopp’s side navigated a busy Christmas period well over recent weeks, as they went undefeated against West Ham United, Manchester United, Arsenal, Burnley and Newcastle United. That was a run of form that has now opened up a three-point gap on Aston Villa in second place as we approach the second half of the season.
The year 2024 is now upon the team and so is the opportunity to make key additions to the squad. Klopp should be seeking defensive reinforcements following injuries to the likes of Andy Robertson and Joël Matip.
