Simons arguably has the best trade value out of anyone on the team, and the Blazers have to decide whether it makes sense to move him now or keep him for a future trade or long-term.

With just two years left on Simons’ contract, trading him now could be the best opportunity for the Blazers. They could wait until the deadline, but there’s a good chance his value may not be higher than what it currently is.

Even though he’s coming off a season where he was injured a lot and played poor defense, Simons could be a target for many teams looking for a point guard this summer, and the Blazers should do their due diligence and listen to potential trade offers.

Simons plays a key role in the team’s rebuild.Simons as the ninth-best trade asset on the market this summer.

Should Simons reach the market, he’d land near the top of the wish list for any shoppers in search of an offensive jolt. He pairs a fiery three-ball with dunk-contest bounce, plus he’s wiggly enough to ditch defenders off the dribble. The Blazers were abysmal on offense this season (29th in efficiency), yet Simons still stamped his spot among the Association’s elites (94th percentile in offensive plus/minus).
