PINCKARD, Ala. (WTVY) – A Dale County woman was arrested and faces animal cruelty charges following a gruesome discovery on Wednesday in Pinckard.

According to law enforcement sources, 37-year-old Kimberly Snell is charged in connection with treatment of at least two dogs and eight puppies found on her property.

Three of the eight puppies found on the property were already dead upon their discovery and it was determined that the other five puppies would have to be put down due to their medical conditions after being taken to an animal shelter in Ozark.

Snell was released on bond shortly after being taken into custody.

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) – A single-vehicle crash in Coffee County on Wednesday night claimed the life of an Elba teen.

The crash occurred in the 1400 block of Coffee County Road 702 in Enterprise a little after 10 p.m. on May 22.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the 12th Circuit District Attorney’s Office and the Coffee County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
