Eagles Reportedly Agreed terms on a five years contract extension of $90.5 million with Hurts, And Hurts has a cap number…

A different former star player from Penn State is moving to Philadelphia.

The Eagles announced on Tuesday night that PJ Mustipher, an All-Big Ten defensive tackle with the Nittany Lions, had signed a one-year contract as a free agent.

In a press release, Mustipher stated, “Watching what the Eagles have been able to accomplish over the past few years has been nothing short of amazing.” “Being a part of this organization was the best thing for my career going forward because of the talent on this roster and along the defensive line.”

Mustipher’s third NFL team will be this one. The former Nittany Lion signed with the Denver Broncos as a free agent after being passed over in the 2023 draft. In December of last year, Mustipher was signed off Denver’s practice squad to the active roster of the New Orleans Saints.

Mustipher, a native of Maryland, attended the McDonogh School (Md.) and signed as a four-star prospect in the 2018 recruiting class. Between 2018 and 22, he spent five seasons as a player for the Nittany Lions, recording 145 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and three sacks.

In addition to being the team captain in 2021 and 2022, Mustipher was selected by the Associated Press for the first team of the Big Ten in 2021 and the second team in 2022.

In the past week, Mustipher has become the second former Penn State athlete to sign a contract with the Eagles. Saquon Barkley, a star running back, signed a high-paying three-year contract.

Mustipher remarked, “Seeing familiar faces is going to make my transition much easier.” “I am excited to be returning to Pennsylvania, where I attended school for five years.”
