Notre Dame just struck gold with the Omaha (Neb.) Westside program. Of course, you can look at the Class of 2024, which featured quarterback Teddy Rezac and his brother Anthony. Although it’s a different school, the Irish also dipped into Omaha to land All-American safety Xavier Watts in the 2020 recruiting class. The program hopes to make an impact in the area again with 2025 lineman Christian Jones, a former teammate of the Rezac brothers. One of the most talented defensive players in the Class of 2025, Jones told Irish Breakdown that he has lined up his return to Notre Dame for the Blue-Gold Game on April 20. Jones made his first trip to campus last season in the team’s scrimmage against Ohio State on the 23rd. In September,

Westside simply put together one of the most dominant seasons in recent memory. The team finished 13-0, including a 49-0 state title win over Bellevue West. During the season, the Warriors outscored their opponents 643-46. The 6-3, 215-pounder totaled 69 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles and an interception this season.
