EA Sports announced on social media on Thursday that the highly anticipated college football game is coming this summer.In fact, the full reveal will be released in May.As stated in the video, the company contacted “a large base in space”.The release of a college football game by EA Sports is the first since NCAA Football 14 was released in July 2013.There was speculation as to whether this would actually happen, which of course the company did. the hype video was released on Thursday..

On the day the Madden 2024 cover was revealed, EA Sports’ video game hit a potential roadblock.In June 2023, it was reported that the College Football Players Association called on athletes to boycott the game in hopes that EA Sports would consider paying the athletes.EA has reportedly struck a deal with OneTeam Partners to facilitate the likeness of college athletes. A source told On3 that approximately $5 million is available for the players’ name, image and likeness.
That’s about $500 per player. According to Sportico, royalties were not due.Fans were left wondering if the game would ever happen after a report revealed that EA Sports will release an update on the game during the CFP Championship.
