Shocking News: Tennessee Volunteers Have Confirmed A Season Ending Injury To One Of Its Players….

Collierville High School wide receiver Joakim Dodson is the latest commitment in Tennessee’s 2025 recruiting class. He is ranked #547 in the class of 2025 and Tennessee’s #039 #1 wide receiver in the class. Following Dodson’s commitment, his receivers coach Logan Johns spoke with Volunteer Country about Dodson. andquot; I would say his attention to detail sets him apart from the average athlete.

I send out weekly scouting reports on the high school we play and he already has his grades. Many of his notes are similar to mine, and whenever he makes a mistake, he already knows what he needs to correct. He can tell me before I even ask what changes he needs to make.andquot; The wide receiver coach dives deeper into Dodson’s ability on the field and what stands out the most. andquot;How athletic he is. I’ve seen him catch like crazy since he came to us in the middle of his freshman year. The adjustments he makes with his body to catch defenders on hits and misses are crazy for a kid his age. He hit a 7-on-

7 drill one day where the QB threw the ball down the sideline and it looked like it went out of bounds. Joakim stopped and jumped and somehow one of them pushed in.andquot; Johns talks about Dodson’s administration. andquot;He really emerged as a leader last season. As a sophomore, he had a year to learn from two seniors, Noah Flaskamp (Missouri) and Austin Smith (Rhodes College), who worked hard every day and spoke up when they needed to speak up.

I think that helped Joakim get comfortable and become more vocal as the year progressed. Fast forward to the last season. He held not only the receivers accountable, but also other players on the team, but Joakim is not the rah-rah type. She knows when her voice needs to be heard and will definitely always lead by example. I can leave Indy to start a new practice and I know Joakim will lead our group.andquot; Johns also continues: He is one of the best young men I have ever coached. He is always respectful and works hard in class. He is studying with honors and is ready to graduate early.

I never had a problem with him. He was always smiling and joking. If you know him, he is quiet when you first meet him. I had to bring him out of his shell when we first met. I remember telling her when she first came to me, it’s nice to smile, but I love that I got to know her and guide her.andquot; Johns has high expectations for his athletes. andquot;

I know he will excel at the next level and do great things. He worked hard to be in this position. I know the head just goes up. I know he is working hard to not only do well in college, but to make it to the NFL. His hunger and determination drive him to fulfill his dream. I will always be proud of him and will always be one of his biggest supporters. I can’t wait to see what his senior year brings and I’m really excited to see him do what I already know he can do and play at the next level.andquot;.
