One of the more popular quarterbacks that could be available this offseason is Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. They traded for him just two seasons ago, but have already suffered at his hands.

The Las Vegas Raiders need a quarterback and there has been speculation that Wilson could be their target this offseason. But Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz doesn’t see that happening. “I would be very, very surprised by what I was told if it happened with the Raiders,” Schultz said in a Feb. 13 video. “I know it’s been speculated nationally, but I would be surprised if Russell Wilson ends up with the Raiders.”

Wilson is just beginning the five-year, $242 million contract extension the Broncos gave him after the team traded him. Trading him is not an option unless they want to take a bigger part of the deal. According to Schultz, Wilson still has a chance to return to the Broncos. If they cut him, they would make an $85 million contribution, the most the team has ever made. Wilson should have several suitors if he is released, but the Raiders do not appear to be among the teams interested..
