Shephard served as Kalen DeBoerand’s wide receivers coach and Washington Huskies play-by-play coordinator. Shephard has no experience as a play caller. The only time he was able to call was from 2018 to 2021 at Purdue, where he was the offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator.Shephard has long been considered one of the best receivers coaches in the country and will be a key part of Kalen DeBoerand#039;s staff. Promoting Shephard would make it more difficult for an opposing school to poach Shephard if they don’t hire him as their head coach.
