Breaking News: This Is Unacceptable 49ers Head Coach Complain About Star Player Who……
There will be plenty of star power on the field Sunday night when the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs face off in Super Bowl LVIII at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. And for some stars awaiting free agency, this could be the last time they wear the scarlet and gold of the 49ers or the red and yellow of the Chiefs. Here are the top five impending Super Bowl free agents who could land big deals this offseason.
Jones got the money he was looking for ($19.5 million with up to $25 million in incentives), but there was no deadline because hesigned a one-year deal before the season started. The 29-year-old defensive tackle led the Chiefs to 13 tackles for loss and tied for the team lead with 10.5 sacks. Among all DTs, he led the NFL in QB hits (18) and was second in pressures (75) and sixth in both rushing (43) and passing percentage (18.9%), per PFF. Jones had 2023 with the best players at his position, including Aaron Donald, Quinnen Williams and Dexter Lawrence, and will likely pay off. Spotrac projects Jones to sign a three-year, $85.45 million deal this summer, putting his market value at around $28.4 million.
2. Chase Young, DE, San Francisco 49ersAfter two straight seasons hampered by injuries, Young had the kind of bounce-back year that could lead to a healthy long-term free agency deal. Splitting the season with the Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers, Young had a career-high 66 pressures, 48 hurries and eight QB hits, along with 7.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss, per Pro Football Focus.
If the 24-year-old former No. 1 gets a big game against Patrick Mahomes on Sunday, he could establish himself as the No. 2 defensive player in the 2024 free agent class in March behind Carolina’s Brian Burns. . Spotrac projects him to sign a one-year, $13 million free agent deal, but given his memorable rookie year and his accomplishments in 2023, his next deal could be similar to the four-year, $65.5 million deal Cameron Heyward signed with Cameron Heyward. Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021.
3. L’Jarius Sneed, CB, Kansas City ChiefsSneed is one of the most underrated players when it comes to drinks. Among cornerbacks with 500 or more snaps this season, Sneed had the fourth-lowest passer rating (55.9), sixth-lowest completion percentage (51.9) and seventh-lowest yards per reception (9.7), while also ranking third-lowest a yard reception the most forced disadvantages (17). He was also one of four CBs not to allow a touchdown in the regular season (at least 500 pass coverages). He may not be a household name like Jalen Ramsey, Trevon Diggs or Xavien Howard, but his play is among the best. Sneed has certainly seen significant upside thanks to his $982,330 cap hit this season, and Spotrac projects him to a four-year, $65.32 million free agency contract ($16.3 million in annual salary).
4. Mike Danna, DE, Kansas City ChiefsWhile not quite on Sneed’s level, Danna is also an underrated player at his position. The 26-year-old DE set career highs this season with 41 pressures, 28 hurries, seven tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. . .Burns, Young and Leonard Williams are probably the top three wide receivers in the upcoming free agent class, but Danna isn’t too far behind. Spotrac projects him to sign a three-year, $25.99 million deal ($8.6 million in annual salary), which would make him the 12th-highest-paid in the league.
