‘They Could Not Pay Me Anymore’ Leicester City Key Player Jamie Vardy Angrily Announce His….

As the transfer window closes, manager Enzo Maresca has made it a priority to add a physical player to the Leicester City midfield.

Maresca stated at the beginning of this week that, in a perfect world, he would want to see City add two midfield players with even fewer alternatives remaining than at the beginning of January. Due to his injury, Enzo Maresca may not return to action until early April, but Chelsea has recalled Cesare Casadei.

When Maresca stated he wanted “something different” in midfield during the draw with Ipswich, he was alluding to the fact that Ndidi and Casadei are commanding presences in the middle of the park, which is something Maresca feels his squad is lacking. Before this Thursday night’s deadline, he would like a player with strong physical attributes, even though his technical preference is still Inter Milan’s Stefano Sensi.

When Maresca stated he wanted “something different” in midfield during the draw with Ipswich, he was alluding to the towering presences of Ndidi and Casadei in the center of the pitch, which he currently feels his squad lacks. Before this Thursday night’s deadline, he would like a player with strong physical attributes, even though his technical preference is still Inter Milan’s Stefano Sensi.

Last Friday, Maresca stated, “Since the beginning, we have always played with Cesare or Wilf, one of them, in all of our games.” We made an effort to adjust in order to control the situation with Ricardo (Pereira) and Kiernan (Dewsbury-Hall) against Ipswich.

“But Wilf and Cesare’s skills are different from Ricky and Kiernan in terms of physicality. My idea of a different kind of player was like Cesare or Wilf. Physical.”

Asked if he specifically now wanted a physical player, Maresca said: “For sure. Since I arrived here, with (head of recruitment) Martyn Glover, we are in continuous contact, even when it’s not the transfer market, if I see some good profiles or if he sees some good profiles. We are very close in terms of thinking about new players.

“So far, he’s done an amazing job. Right now, we know exactly what needs to be done in the event that we take action. Even though we still have four or five days left, we are currently prohibited from doing anything.

“In order to bring in, we must sell. Ultimately, it isn’t tough because we are content with the team. However, we are short due to injuries and internationals. However, we are not required to sell.

It’s unclear if City will have enough money left over after selling Sensi to recruit a physical midfield player as well. Selling Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who is being targeted by Brighton, would be one way to generate revenue. However, the Seagulls’ rumored £20 million offer falls far short of City’s asking price, and it will take a large increase in the last few days of the transfer window for the team to consider giving up their homegrown midfield player.
