Alabama head coach sets to leave for…..

Head coach of Alabama Kalen DeBoer is not obsessing over his new role’s recruiting component. He has visited many locations in his native Alabama, including the residence of the current Class 7A State Champions.

Mal Waldrep (Phenix City, AL), a three-star offensive tackle, told Bama247 he was relieved the Crimson Tide was still pursuing him. Waldrep was informed as much by Coach DeBoer during their Thursday afternoon chat at Central-Phenix High School.

Two early enrollees, Isaia Faga and Rydarrius Morgan, a four-star safety, are from Central-Phenix. Since moving to Tuscaloosa, the three of them have spoken, and Waldrep reports that his former teammates have given him very encouraging comments.

“Isaia (Faga) has said he likes him a lot, (Rydarrius Morgan) does too,” Waldrep continued. “They both appreciate Coach DeBoer’s methods and his overall demeanor. They are enjoying themselves up there, and they like his energy. Their work is going nicely for them. Now, they appear to be having a great time with it.”

Top247 edge rusher Noah Carter felt at home on his flight to Alabama over the weekend, even though he had never set foot on campus. After all, when the gifted defense from Peoria (Ariz.) Centennial came in Tuscaloosa, there would be a few familiar faces.
