Buffalo Bills have significant salary cap concerns going into the 2024 offseason….

There is work ahead for general manager Brandon Beane of the Buffalo Bills, as the team has already beyond the 2024 salary cap.

$43 million was the figure floated earlier this week, but it has already been revised. The amount of cap the Bills were allowed to carry over from the 2023 season may have decreased if the Not Likely To Be Earned Incentives from 2023 were realized. The Bills are $50.6 million over the 2024 cap at Over The Cap and $51.1 million over the cap at Spotrac. The NFL salary cap amount hasn’t been formally announced, therefore both websites are use estimates.

Buffalo has contracts with 57 players through 2024. Only the Top 51 contracts are subject to the cap during the offseason.

Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Bills, will have the most cap hit when he increases to a $47 million cap hit in 2024. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs ($27.8 million), cornerback Tre’Davious White ($16.4 million), left tackle Dion Dawkins ($16.6 million), tight end Dawson Knox ($14.3 million), and edge rusher Von Miller ($23.8 million) are the players who come after Allen. Those cap numbers will undoubtedly alter prior to the start of the season as contracts are renegotiated or perhaps eliminated entirely.
