The Tennessee Titans are in need of a new beginning, and Brian Callahan can deliver one.

Although Mike Vrabel’s dismissal may not have come as a complete surprise, the Tennessee Titans have moved swiftly to find a replacement. News of the team’s decision to name Brian Callahan, the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, as their next head coach surfaced on Monday night. As of Tuesday morning, the contract was still pending confirmation, although Callahan has been connected to the position by a number of sources, including Adam Schefter and the Associated Press.

Notwithstanding all of that, the Tennessee reconstruction begins with the hiring of a head coach. Now that’s mostly resolved, we can begin to speculate about what else the offseason may have in store.

On November 16, 2023, in Baltimore, ryland, at M&T Bank Stadium, NFL football player Brian Callahan of the Cincinnati Bengals watches from the sidelines during a game versus the Baltimore Ravens. It is said that the coordinator is getting closer to become the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.

The coach is the son of former Raiders bench boss Bill Callahan and attended UCLA for his college career, as stated in his Bengals biography. He began his coaching career as a high school coach, worked as a graduate assistant with the Bruins, then worked with the wide receivers and in football operations.

After that, Callahan joined the NFL and played a variety of offensive roles with the Denver Broncos. Working with Peyton Manning during their overlap allowed him to establish a pattern of success with quarterbacks. Callahan would move on from the AFC West to become the quarterbacks coach in Detroit, where he helped lead Matthew Stafford to an incredible season in 2017. After that, he signed with the Raiders, where he had the best season of his career with Derek Carr.
