Calvin Ramsay  expected to join Liverpool on a double transfer raid according to Leeds United transfer reports….

According to the Daily Mail, Leeds United is planning to sign Calvin Ramsay and Nat Phillips from Liverpool during the January transfer window.

On Wednesday, January 24, the newspaper said on its website that the Whites are in the lead to recruit Scottish fullback Ramsay on a loan

In addition, Daniel Farke is eager to secure a short-term deal for center-back Phillips, 26, since he is being pursued by Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers this month.

Leeds appears to be finally making a splash during the January transfer window as they try to sign loan agreements for the Liverpool defenders.

Without a doubt, they need to add more players to bolster their defense this month after Luke Ayling signed a loan to Middlesbrough and Djed Spence was sent back to Tottenham.

The 20-year-old Ramsay, who was recalled from his loan term at Preston earlier this month, might battle with Archie Gray for a starting berth since the Whites are currently short-staffed at right-back.

After Pascal Struijk’s injury left Farke with only Liam Cooper, Joe Rodon, and Ethan Ampadu as a makeshift defense option and Charlie Cresswell out of the first team picture, Phillips would provide more experience to the central defensive alternatives.

It will be interesting to see how this story develops in the next days, but it appears that the club is currently making a lot of effort to close some transactions.
