The Iron Bowl: Sports are no longer limited to football

When Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe connected with wide receiver Isaiah Bond on fourth and 31 to win the Iron Bowl last November, the whole state of Alabama and arguably the entire football world witnessed “Gravedigger” in action. An Iron Bowl victory has split more families than politics over Thanksgiving dinner for the past little over 130 years, been almost as important as a national title, and continued to be even more unpredictable than Alabama tornado season. For their final dual meet of the season, the men’s and women’s swim and dive teams will host the Tigers. Usually held at the end of the season, the Iron Bowl in the Pool is followed only by another Tiger game at the Auburn Invite.
