Amorion Walker, a former Michigan wide receiver, joins Ole Miss.

Amorion Walker, a former defensive back for the Michigan Wolverines, revealed this week that he will be transferring to the Ole Miss Rebels.

The Michigan Wolverines won the National Championship this past season. But they, much like everyone else, are prone to offseason attrition. A now-former defensive back hit the transfer portal and announced his destination on Wednesday. Amorion Walker will trade his maize and blue in to play in Mississippi. Walker will transfer from Michigan to Ole Miss, another big move for the Rebels, who’ve been very active in the portal. On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported the move from one Big Ten power to an emerging SEC threat. “FormerichiganCB Amorion Walker has committed to Ole Miss,” Fawcett posted.Walker attended the University of Michigan for two seasons. Recruited for the class of 2022, he made intermittent appearances during his two years at Ann Arbor. He participated in five games as a sophomore in the Wolverines’ championship-winning campaign, after his sixgames as a freshman. Despite playing little this year, he managed three tackles and a 0.5 TFL.With this decision, Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin is taking a chance. The Rebels might benefit a great deal from a cornerback depth transfer. They will require all the assistance they can get because they will be playing against some offensively potent clubs.
