Leeds United will participate in the Joe Rodon competition in the summer after an amazing 23/24 season. – Report

With certain areas in need of greater depth than is now available, the Whites’ January business might be crucial to their quest of promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. As was also the case in the summer, loan acquisitions appear to be Leeds’ and other teams’ greatest opportunity of bringing the needed quality to the squad while staying within budget.

With Charlie Cresswel out due to mental health difficulties and Liam Cooper and Pascal Struijk out by injuries, Daniel Farke currently has just one senior center-back available in Joe Rodon. Without a doubt, Rodon would want to play for us if given the option to choose between Leeds and other Premier League teams. It doesn’t seem that difficult to imagine us signing him because he is playing under a management that recognizes his ability and is in the best shape of his life. The sales of players like Max Wöber and Marc Roca might help pay for this even if we don’t get promoted this season. Plus, Wöber is in the last year of his contract, so his cost won’t be too high.
