Man dead after being ejected from SUV during Walterboro crash

ejected from his SUV following a collision with a utility pole. The incident took place on Jefferies Highway, just north of Walterboro. According to Colleton County Fire-Rescue, the SUV left the roadway, jumped a ditch, and struck a power pole. The vehicle then flipped multiple times before landing on its side in a field. The driver was found in the field near the SUV and was airlifted to a trauma center with multiple traumatic injuries and a head injury. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

 

In a separate incident, a 29-year-old man named Dashaun Sheff died after being ejected from his Chevrolet Avalanche during a crash on U.S. 29 South in Greensboro, North Carolina. The vehicle ran off the road and collided with a guardrail. Sheff was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected into the roadway. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. The Greensboro Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident.

 

These incidents highlight the dangers associated with driving without wearing a seatbelt and the severe consequences of vehicle collisions. Authorities continue to investigate both crashes to determine the exact causes and circumstances surrounding these tragic events.
