1 dead, 3 injured in Stewart County crash involving correctional officer

STEWART COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – One person has died and three others were injured in a Stewart County crash involving a correctional officer.

Stewart County Sheriff Frankie Gray told News 2 the crash involved a Houston County patrol car and a truck and happened at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 near the intersection of Cumberland City Road and Elk Harbor Road.

According to Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis – who is working in tandem with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office on the crash – one person in the truck was killed. The three people who were injured, including a correctional officer and an inmate, were flown to Nashville hospitals. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
